 قــوانين مــورفي مــجموعه اي از قوانين حاكم بر زندگي هستند كـه اكثر آنها از بدبيني نـشات گـرفتـه و جـنـبـه شوخي دارند امـا بسياري از آنها نيز واقعيت هستند.

قوانين مورفي توسط شخصي بنام كاپيـتـان ادوارد مورفي مهندس نيروي هوايي، در سـال 1949 پـا بـه عـرصه حضور گذاشت. وي هنگامي كه روي پروژه اي در نيـروي هـوايـي مشغول بررسي روند كار بود متوجه شد كه تراسفورماتور به صـورت نـادرسـتي سيم پيچي شده در مـورد تكنسين مربوطه چنين گفت:"اگر اين تكنسين راهي باشه تا بتونه كـارشـو درسـت انـجـام نده، اون راهو پيدا ميكنه." قـوانين مورفي اكنون افزون بر هـزاران قانون مي بـاشد كـه توسط افراد گوناگون در سراسر جهان گرد آمده و مـجـموعـه اي ازقـوانـيـن حـاكـم بر زنـدگي هسـتند كـه اكثر آنها از بدبيني نشات گرفته و جنبه شوخي دارند امـا بسـياري از آنها نيزعينيت و واقعيت دارند. اكنون به برخي از اين قوانين توجه كنيد:

1.       اگـر قـرار بـاشه كاري خراب بشه و درست پيش نره، حتما خراب مي شـه آن هـم در نامناسبترين زمان!

2.       اگر احتمال داشته باشه چندين كار خراب بشه، آن كـاري كه بيشترين ضرر را خواهد زد درست پيش نخواهد رفت!
